Employee Spotlight: Jessica Wright

April 20, 2015 | By: Elise Gould | 2 min read

At LaneTerralever, we love having the opportunity to get to know our clients. But with so many different individuals involved in a single project, our clients don’t always get to know our employees the same way. So, we’re an employee spotlight blog series where we will feature one LT staffer and give our clients and friends a chance to ask our employees some questions as well. This month, LT had the opportunity to get to highlight one member of our outstanding Public Relations Team, Jessica Wright. You’re probably familiar with some of the projects she’s been involved with, particularly the Grand Canyon Experience during the Super Bowl. Jessica assisted in promoting National Bank of Arizona’s giant rock-climbing wall featured at Verizon’s Super Bowl Central during Arizona Super Bowl Week. Through this project, she was able to capture local and national media attention, even getting the wall to be featured as part of the backdrop on the Today show.

Outside of work, Jessica is busy with her family, dogs, traveling and school. She’s currently finishing an MBA through Arizona State University, where she also graduated with a Bachelor’s in Public Relations.

Jessica’s family is the most important thing to her, and she loves spending time with them – aunts, uncles, cousins and all. Last April, she married her high school sweetheart, who’s an engineer here in Phoenix. They share a home with their two black labs, Axel and Mini.

And, Jessica’s quite an athlete! She’s set the record for the women’s mile at her high school in Surprise, and still holds it today. She also played semi-pro soccer for a while, and is now active on local recreational teams.

Jessica’s love for LaneTerralever goes back a few years, before she even graduated from college. As a student at ASU, one of Jessica’s teachers took her PR class on a field trip to E.B. Lane to get a better understanding of what work at an agency was all about. On that tour, Jessica fell in love with the culture and environment, and knew that E.B. Lane was a place she wanted to be. After graduation, Jessica continuously checked the LaneTerralever website in hopes of catching a job opening, and was finally able to join the dream team.

According to Jessica, the culture she first felt at E.B. Lane is just as great today at LaneTerralever. She loves her colleagues and is grateful to work with people who passionate about their jobs and genuinely love working together. She says, “You don’t feel like you work every day, and that makes it so much easier to wake up in the morning and know where you go to work is just a group of your friends.”

In the future, Jessica would love to continue to travel more. Places like Italy (her family is Italian) and Egypt are on her list. She’d also like to make a return trip to the Bahamas, which is one of her favorite places in the world.

But when she can’t wind down in the Bahamas, you’ll find her rocking out to some country tunes, like Florida Georgia Line. Favorite old-school artist? Garth Brooks is one of her all time favorites. We hope you’ve enjoyed this first employee spotlight – there’ll be many more to come. Do you have any questions you’d like an LT employee to answer?
