Employee Spotlight: Carrie Jeannot

In a digital age, going old school has its advantages. As LT’s one and only Project Supervisor, Carrie Jeannot (Ja-no) still keeps handwritten checklists allowing better visibility on daily goals for her clients. That’s not to say that she doesn’t enjoy the instant gratification of website developing as compared to traditional ads. In this month’s Employee Spotlight, we are happy to share Carrie’s unique perspectives in developing service strategies and focusing on her client’s needs.

Carrie always has her eye on the ball. Professionally, she has a special talent for reading people and situations on a more profound level than most. Her powers of observation developed out of need at a very young age. Born completely deaf, she went through nine surgeries by the time she was in 5th grade to gain her hearing. As hard as that experience was, it forced her to study people more closely by reading lips and expressions. It’s a valuable skill that gives her more insight to every nuance and need her client may have.

As a ten-year veteran, who received her degree in business marketing from Western Michigan University (Go-Broncos!), Carrie has great advice to anyone starting down the project management path. “The ball is never not in your court. Follow-up, follow-up and more follow-ups, you can never have enough communication with your client.” Carrie emphasizes that getting to know your client and your team on a personal basis is key. She advises taking the time to get to know how your team members work and function and be aware of what their calendars look like. “If your team knows you have their back, they will work harder and better,” said Jeannot.

One of the most rewarding aspects of her position is working with a dynamic team of diverse professionals and delivering on things like apps and websites as assets to clients.

She also loves to spend time with her two rescue pitbull pups named Stanley (black & white) and Capone.

On any given day during her personal time you will find this Michigan born competitive sand volleyball player on a beach court serving and spiking the ball.

If you’re in or around the office and run into Carrie, don’t be afraid to serve up a conversation as she would really dig it! Pun intended. If you are interested in learning more about the world of project management, execution and implementation, we’d love to chat!
