Saloni headshotEvery summer we have new faces around the office mainly due to the influx of interns. Instead of focusing our August employee spotlight on a full-time employee, I selected our Development Intern, Saloni Shah.

Saloni was born and raised in Mumbai, India and completed her Bachelors of Computer Engineering at University of Mumbai, India. After graduation, Saloni decided to make a big change and moved to the United States to pursue her Master’s in Computer Science at Arizona State University. While in school, Saloni became interested in web development, data analysis and data visualization. She has been enjoying her time in the United States and is thankful for all of the opportunities she has been given. Of course, there are some things she misses about India, including her family and a home-cooked meal.

Saloni at beachSaloni started this summer at LaneTerralever and plans to continue her internship past the summer months. This internship is her first industry experience. Her favorite part about interning at LaneTerralever is how much she has been able to grow and learn. She has already learned a lot, including communicating with project managers, how an agency works, WordPress – how to customize the themes and widgets, a lot of front-end development, and is currently doing tutorials on .NET development.

Outside of her internship and attending classes at ASU, Saloni enjoys painting, traveling to new places that have beaches, cooking her take on Indian street food and watching chick flicks with her friends.
